Lars Kracht (*1993) studied time-based media in Hamburg. In 2017, he took over the position of Technical Director of the Hauptsache Frei Festival Hamburg. As a creative addition to the technical side, he started his profession as a lighting designer in 2018. He was responsible for the lighting design in pieces by Ursina Tossi, Yolanda Morales and many more, always trying to create synergies between stage design, dramaturgy and lighting. Lars communicates the relevance of light for the overall work of performance, stage, music and light at an early stage. He is interested in what happens between the scenes and how the rhythm of the lighting design synchronises with the performance. His works have been shown at Kampnagel Hamburg, Tanzfaktur Cologne, Ballhaus Berlin and Fusion, among others.
